Week's Summary

I actually got in a lot of miles this week, which was part of the goal.  With the Lake Tahoe Marathon looming in less than 2 months, I figured it was time to start bulking up on the miles, which I successfully did.

While I would've liked to have hit 50 miles, Monday was a traveling day and Friday I simply took off.  The Black Hawk half marathon I did caused my some problems with my IT-Band, particularly in the hip area.  I was sort of worried how my long run would go on Saturday.  In fact, I was sort of planning on it lasting about 5 miles and then having to call it a day.  Luckily, it held up and by the end of the run I was asking myself, "What hip problem?"

Logging miles and getting in the necessary long run is going to be a priority for me as my full marathon season comes into view.  I am really looking forward to seeing Tahoe and being able to run alongside it.
