Horseshoe Springs - Wildlife Refuge - Skull Valley, Utah

Introduction

Another one of my stops on the way out to Nevada was Horseshoe Springs.  While researching Iosepa I discovered that there was another point of interest in Skull Valley -- Horseshoe Springs.

Horseshoe springs is a natural springs area that has some ample opportunities for just walking around a short hiking trail or fishing.  It is a salt-based warm springs that has some crystal blue water.  It isn't terribly deep and offers some great opportunities to just enjoy nature.

It is easily found, just minutes off of I-80, along the west side, at Exit 77.  You can see the location on Google Maps.

If you like the outdoors and want to get a little fishing in, this is an ideal and quiet place.  Also there are ample opportunities to check out birds.  Of historical note, it also was a popular spot for the settlers heading west.
